Connect Ironbrain MCP

Short guide for Cursor and Cloud Agents: HTTP MCP URL, public OAuth client, and where to click in the Cloud UI. No secrets on this page beyond the public Client ID.

Requirements

An Ironbrain account on https://app.ironbrain.de (org membership as needed). Platform customers should use this MCP—not MailCal.

Connection values

Use Type URL (not Command). Prefer no trailing slash on the Server URL. Leave Client Secret empty (public PKCE client).

  • Name: ironbrain
  • Type: URL
  • Server URL: https://app.ironbrain.de/api/mcp
  • Client ID: c086ddde-1812-41e1-8781-656e0f72ea0e
  • Client Secret: leave empty

Cloud Agents UI path

Configure MCP from the agent composer—not from the dashboard Plugins page:

  1. Open cursor.com/agents
  2. In the chat composer, click +
  3. Open MCP Servers
  4. Choose Add MCP (or the pencil to edit)
  5. Set Type URL, paste Server URL and Client ID, leave Client Secret empty
  6. Complete OAuth (login → consent on app.ironbrain.de)
  7. Start a new Cloud Agent / thread so discovery refreshes

This is not under cursor.com/dashboard → Plugins & MCPs.

Freigabe (HITL)

Side-effect tools enqueue to the Ironbrain Outbox for human approval before they run—review pending actions in the app under Freigabe / Outbox.

Wrong URLs

Do not use the SPA root or bare /api path—discovery will fail. The MCP endpoint is exactly https://app.ironbrain.de/api/mcp.
